Meadow -installation includes an indoor meadow and a message from the alpaca and horse herds. The five biggest problems of the human kind according to ‘Scientists Consensus on Maintaining Humanity’s Life Support Systems in the 21st Century‘ were presented to the herds by animal communicator Maiccu Kostiainen. Guidance to meet these challenges was asked and Kostiainen documented the message via automatic writing. These challenges include 1.) climate disruption, 2.) extinction, 3.) wholesale loss of diverse ecosystems, 4.) pollution, 5.) human population growth and consumption patterns. The alpacas or horses did not answer directly to these problems but gave an overall advice that was part of the installation as sound. The indoor meadow has has a gift as an exchange, a symbolic ‘thank you’ with various landrace plants, delicates for alpacas and horses.
